This is our definitive guide regarding the best pc cases for RTX 3060/3070 graphics cards.

One of the first things you should do before purchasing a graphics card is checking its compatibility with your existing PC components, particularly with your PC Case.

Since Chassis is where you will put your graphics card (along with motherboard and other parts), you need to make sure that it’s suitable for your GPU.

Otherwise, you may have heat and airflow issues that will affect the graphics card’s performance.

RTX 3060 Ti and 3070 are two new Ampere-based graphics cards that are gaining a lot of attention from reviewers as well as the masses. Both of these cards have excellent value for their money and target High-1440p/Entry-level 4K gaming, respectively.

So here are our recommended PC chassis for these new cards.

We have tried to keep this list diverse and include different types of cases. Another thing to be noted is that, for this list, we have only considered the dimensions of reference RTX 3060 ti and 3070 graphics card.

In case you’re going for other GPUs (manufactured by Asus, MSI, or EVGA, etc.), make sure to check their specs sheet as their dimensions may vary.

1. Rosewill FBM-01: Best Cheap PC Case For RTX 3060 Ti and 3070

ROSEWILL Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case, Steel…
  • ROSEWILL FBM-01 aims to provide the best office desktop system for our users. With steel and plastic, it gives an affordable and repliable choice for computer systems.
  • Convenient I/O Port excellent office computer case with 2 x USB 2.0, Audio In/Out ports to offer the easy access for this computer case at the front
  • Excellent Airflow with 1 x 120mm Front Fan & 1 x 80mm Rear Fan (both pre-installed), ROSEWILL FBM-01 offers the optimized ventilation to our users, dimension (H x W x D) 13.98 x 6.69 x 13.19 inches

As good as RTX 3060 Ti and 3070 are, they cost a good amount of money. If you have a monitor to upgrade as well, the chances of you being on low budget are pretty high.

Considering this, we are starting this roundup with Rosewill’s FBM-01 – a budget PC case.

It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of modern PC Cases such as tempered glass panel, but Rosewill has done almost all the basics right.

The overall construction is alright. The SECC steel is used mainly but it’s very thin and you can’t handle it roughly. This thin metal is also one of the reasons why it weighs only 6 lbs.

Since it was first released a long time ago, you only get two USB 2.0 ports on the front panel, in addition to the headphone and mic jack.

It comes with two internal fans: one 120mm intake fan at the front and one 80mm exhaust fan at the back.

As far as the compatibility is concerned, FBM-01 can have a graphics card as long as 300 mm, a CPU cooler as high as 150mm, is compatible with all microATX motherboards.

The big flaw I noted in FBM-01 is the lack of any dust filter behind the grille on the front side. Also, the PSU is mounted on the top which means your system can get hot if you don’t have good cable management skills.

It’s still a good chassis for what it’s worth but I won’t recommend it unless you gave a seriously low budget.

2. Cooler Master NR200: Best Mini-ITX Case For RTX 3060 Ti And 3070

Sale

Cooler Master NR200 SFF Small Form Factor Mini-ITX…
  • Vented Panel: The NR200 is flanked with five ventilated steel panels for unrestricted airflow.
  • Unrestricted Cooling Potential: Holds up to 7 fans. 5 sides of open ventilation. Fits CPU coolers up to 155mm tall or up to 280mm long radiators.
  • Full-size GPU Compatible: Triple slot GPUs are supported with a maximum length of 330mm and maximum width of 156mm. Vertical mounting is optional.

Up next we have the Cooler Master NR200.

Unlike Rosewill’s FBM-01, it was released just a few months ago – in August 2020.

Although they give you fewer expansion options as compared to ATX siblings, mini-ITX motherboards have been really popular in recent times because their small form factor. This popularity has resulted in the high demand for mini-ITX cases for such boards.

NR200 is one such case. With 18 lbs internal volume, it’s pretty compact but can be used with a variety of CPU coolers and graphics cards.

Although it’s available in white color as well, and there’s another variant has features a glass side panel, we liked the black one (without glass panel) because it looks more traditional.

In all of these versions, the NR200 looks sleek due to an entire steel body – with ventilation in no less than five sides.

Cooler Master has probably taken inspiration from different successful PC cases’ designs. This is why the plain front panel resembles that of the Ghost S1 case and side panels look similar to what we get in Ncase M1.

We really liked the top panel which entirely consists of breathable mesh. You can mount up to two 120mm fans directly underneath this panel, giving NR200 a good amount of airflow. This installation will be tool-less so will have more time to focus on other areas.

The side panels can also be removed without any tool, and feature the same push-pin mechanism as you get in Ncase m1, with the addition of bottom hinge in NR200.

The bottom side has a dust filter and can have two 120mm fans. There’s an option for a 92mm fan on the rear end too, but a high number of these fans won’t make sense if you intend to use a liquid cooler in your build.

Speaking of coolers, you can install up to 280mm AIO here. For air coolers, this limit is 158 mm in height.

If you talk about the graphics cards, they should be less than 330mm long and 158mm high(including the connectors).

Another thing we liked about NR200 is that, despite being a budget PC Case, it comes with custom loop mounting locations.

The NR200P variant of this case comes with a Riser cable of vertical GPU mounting and extra case fans but costs 20 bucks more. Thus, we went with the base model NR200.

Apart from the thin nature of side panels that make them bend easily and relatively high noise of top-mounted case fan, NR200 is an excellent pc case with a number of options in GPU and cooler configurations.

It’s surely a good option for anyone looking for an SFF build with a reasonable budget.

3. NZXT H510: Best Mid-Tower Case For RTX 3060 Ti And 3070

Sale

NZXT H510 – CA-H510B-B1 – Compact ATX Mid-Tower PC…
  • New features: Front I/O USB Type-C Port and Tempered glass side panel with single screw installation
  • Enhanced cable management: Our patented cable routing kit with pre-installed channels and straps makes wiring easy and intuitive
  • STREAMLINED COOLING: 2 Aer F120mm fans included for optimal internal airflow and the front panel and PSU intakes include removable filters, removable bracket designed for radiators up to 240mm – simplifies the installation of either closed-loop or custom-loop water cooling

NZXT is a big name when it comes to PC Cases and their products are generally known for their aesthetics, build quality, and easy-to-use nature.

Their H510 case is an upgrade from the original H500 and we believe it to the best mid-tower case for RTX 3060 ti/3070 GPUs.

It’s a premium chassis with a matte black finish and minimalist design.

On the backside, you’ll find the fan vent for the 120mm fan (included) along with the seven expansion slots. There’s a double slot for the vertical GPU mounting as well, and you can use it by removing the already-attached bracket.

The right side panel is quite simple but comes with a series of ventilation holes on the front. The left side panel comes with tempered glass. It’s different than what you get in other cases because the bottom part of this panel doubles up as the PSU shroud.

Both of these panels have thumb-screws at the back that make them easy to remove.

On the top side, there’s a 120mm fan vent (fan included) at the rear. This area is not as strong as the overall case so you have to be careful here. In case you don’t like it, you can mount your own 140mm fan at the top as well.

In addition to this, there’s also space for two 120mm/140mm fans (or one 280mm) at the front.

The I/O panel at the front consists of a power button, one USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, and one audio jack. It’s good that you get the latest USB standard ports but we would’ve certainly appreciated more of them.

Being a mid-tower case, you can fit mATX boards as well as ITX boards in H510, although we’ll suggest you going with an mATX option.

The maximum GPU length supported is 381mm without a watercooler installed on the front and 325mm with it installed.

Apart from limited I/O ports and a relatively premium price tag, there’s no big downside with NZXT H510. On the other hand, we really liked the sleek design, cable management brackets, and vertical GPU mounting option.
